Yes. We decided two meetings ago that the library meetings were for chapter business and planning, and all other conversations will be reserved until after all business has been discussed; if you want a soap box then lets have an event in your area and you can have one. We are supposed to be ramping up to weekly events ASAP so that the boring stuff will only be a once a month thing.
We are planning monthly library meetings, Cafe Metro meetings, traveling potlucks, and a day for other stuff we may want to do (i.e. go up to Bellingham or over to the south east areas to build up support in Washington) so that we have a time and place for boring stuff and another place to talk about what every you want.
I do agree we need to build an agenda for each library meeting and that is partly why I started the threads for each individual meeting, so we can figure out what we need to talk about and since nobody shows up to the TS3 meetings we have to rely on the library meetings for all chapter business so that is going to have to be what we are talking about.
Here is a basic outline of how our meeting should go, let’s have some suggestions for topics we need to discuss.
1. 2pm call to order
A. Verify TS3 is broadcasting/recording
B. Go over meeting agenda outline
C. Approval of last meeting minutes (addendums, revisions, exemptions- 10 min. max.)
D. Roll call & Introductions < 1 minute
2. Chapter Status
A. Membership status
B. Sub-chapters status
C. Monthly review
D. Other chapter news
3. Global status
A. Any important movement news from outside Washington
4. Old business and open action items
A. Review status of all action items from previous meeting
B. Update the group on progress in active projects
C. Any other discussions about previous activities
5. New Business
A. Open proposals and discussion about new project ideas.
B. Open proposals and discussion about activities in the next month.
C. Open proposals and discussion about activities in the next year or more
D. Any other new business.
6. Wrap up of official business
A. Go over action items for the next month.
B. Verify time, date, and location of this months various meetings and activities.
C. Announce next library meeting date and time.
D. Call for any other business
E. Call for newsletter input
7. Meeting Reports
A. Mel - Global Updates, IT issues, Chapter News, etc.
B. Jason - Subchapter updates, Technology news, etc.
C. Michael - Direct action initiatives and status, Street team, informal meetings, etc.
D. Jesse - Political Analysys and Current Events, Presentation Team, etc.
E. Any other Team level Reports
F. Any other Reports discussed prior to meeting.
8. Open floor discussions
A. Call for discussions about any current events.
B. Open the floor to any other discussions.
9. 4:30pm Call meeting to a close
A. Close out TS3.
B. Clean up room.
C. inform library staff we are done with the room
I will post some of the topics that need to be discussed at the meeting later today or tomorrow but I want everyone to chime in on things we need to discuss and if you know something you want to propose lets hear it and it will be put on the agenda that you want to discuss something.

Very well done Jason. I like the structure you put together. It should allow us to accomplish what we need to accomplish each month, in the short time we have at the library.
I would like to emphasize something about #5.
5. New Business
A. Open proposals and discussion about new project ideas.
B. Open proposals and discussion about activities in the next month.
C. Open proposals and discussion about activities in the next year or more
D. Any other new business
I think new business should be mentioned or brought up here in the forum first, so we aren't forced to discuss or debate things that we have no opinion or facts on. This doesn't mean something new can't be suggested in the meeting, but it would be much more productive if the new items to be discussed were at least mentioned or touched upon with some details here in the forum, before the meetings.
I guess it would be good to introduce new ideas during the meeting, but expecting to discuss something that was just suggested may not be wise, unless it is something that needs a decision right away, similar to our scheduling events dilemma we had last meeting. That isn't really even a good example, as it wasn't something new, just something that couldn't wait any longer. The idea wasn't new, but the proposal was. We had actually been discussing ideas for the past few meetings.
I hope everyone is now clear on the reason for the monthly meetings at the library, as Jason explained it very eloquently.
If anyone has anything they would like to discuss or resolve during the next meeting, please post it here, so we can provide time to discuss, debate or evaluate it. As well as give others a chance to familiarize themselves with the topic.

more to come, many of these will be very brief but will allow us to have a more structured and productive busness meeting so we can get washingto state into high gear. Our post Z-Day breather is coming to an end and it is time to get our asses back into gear! we need just a few more active people to get things going harder than pre z-day and in a truly state wide manner. We are building up to something great and cannot let this momentum stall out. If we want change lets bring it!

I think it would be cool to promote in the newsletter a monthly contest. Like win a TZM t shirt for the best original essay of the month posted in the contest section of the forum, or something like that, to get people involved. Everybody loves a contest. 3 weeks for entries and then put up a poll with titles a week before the meeting where the prize is awarded. eh??
I would donate a brand new zm shirt for the first month to help it get going. Something to talk about at the meeting maybe?
