The Zeitgeist Movement 
TO ALL NEW MEMBERSWelcome all! You may have found this website several different ways, a movie, a link on another page, the suggestion of a friend or family member, but the one aspect all of these ways has in common is your desire to know more about this "Zeitgeist Movement" and how to become an active part within it. There are a lot groups out there that like to broadcast and complain about conspiracies and problems of the world, but none of them have solutions that address the root causes of these problems... Well, we are here to present solutions that do just that. Here are some immediate steps you can take as a most valued member of The Zeitgeist Movement... because we are already a part of the global community and "spirit of the times" we are living in now. We already make a difference in our communities everyday, regardless. 1. Familiarize yourself with the Basis of the Zeitgeist Movement. What is the Zeitgeist Movement? It’s as easy as A, B, C. A - Where to get started?? - Watch the "TZM Orientation Video"!! Then we recommend reading the "TZM Orientation Guide" which is located to the left of the page with a link of the same name. This way you know what basis the Zeitgeist Movement operates. If you don't want to read the whole thing, we HIGHLY recommend at least reading Part 5 of the guide, which addresses activism.
B - You have questions. We have answers. - To get a deeper understanding still, and to answer questions you have no doubt formulated by this point. Click on "FAQ" on the top toolbar and click on the "FAQ" link. Many of the questions have already been addressed in a really clear and valuable way. If you still don't find your questions being answered you can also visit The Venus Project site and check out the The Venus Project FAQ page there, as well.
C - Get to the heart of the movement. - If you have a desire to learn more still at this point, you can investigate different aspects of society and how the movement can help, click on "Understandings" on the top title bar.
2. Subscribe to our Forums. Now that you know more about the basis, subscribe to the Forum! When you do this you can put in your ideas and let us get to know you a little bit. Click here to subscribe. 3. Update your profile information. It's very important we know what area you are from, so you can get to know the people in your area also striving for a better world. Are you from the Austin area, Houston area, San Antonio area, DFW area, Rio GrandeValley area, Amarillo area, Lubbock Area, Midland Odessa area, Baton Rouge area, New Orleans area, Alexandria area, Shreveport area, Monroe area, Oklahoma City area, Tulsa area??? So, please list on your profile where you are from AND an email address or some other way of contacting you. In this way we will be able to inform you of the most current news, activities and events in your area. But most importantly, allow you more opportunity to participate. 4. Download the free program TeamSpeak 3 to speak to ZM-ers in your area and beyond! Teamspeak3 is the communication device which allows members of the ZM from all over the globe to communicate together at any time. State, National and International meetings of the ZM are held on Teamspeak3. In Teamspeak3 there are different 'channels' or 'rooms' as we call them. If you scroll down the list you will find the TX, LA, & OK channel listed, simply double click on it to enter the room. You will need a microphone to speak, but you will at least be able to type in the chat if you don't have a computer mic. **Note this is where we hold our meetings for Texas, Louisiana, & Oklahoma ONLY. International and US meetings are held in their respective channels.** Teamspeak3 is always open for everyone 24/7. Any time of the day you can come, sit in, listen, and talk about what ever the other people from all over the world are talking about. Or even ask questions and start topics of your own.
Schedule of Teamspeak3 Meetings: Sunday – 8:00pm – 10:00pm CST– Weekly TX, LA, OK State Chapter Meetings This weekly meeting addresses news, activities and events within TX, LA, and OK tri-state area. Those present are the State Coordinator(s), Subchapter coordinators and all other members of the ZM interested in listening in and providing ideas and feedback for activism.
TX, LA, and OK are currently a “tri-state” chapter. We are looking for people to fill the State Chapter coordinator positions for LA and OK. If you are interested in applying, please contact the National Coordinator, Jen Wilding, for more on the interview process.

Monday – 8:00pm – 10:00pm CST– United States Chapter Meetings This meeting addresses news, activities and events within the National – United States Chapter. Those present are the State Chapter coordinators and all other members of ZM interested in listening in and providing ideas and feedback for activism at the National level.

Wednesday – 5:00pm – 7:00pm CST– Weekly International Chapter Meetings This weekly meeting addresses news, activities and events within the International – Global level. Those present are the National Chapter coordinators and all other members of the ZM interested in listening in and providing ideas and feedback for activism at the Global level.

** Also, stay tuned for updates on how to access to archived Teamspeak3 meeting recordings. We are working on making these available so you can listen to meetings at your convenience if you can't attend live.** 5. Find your Subchapter coordinator. People in the local Subchapters coordinating this social movement are mostly very well versed and up to date on these issues and what is happening within the movement at different levels (State/National/International). Meeting with them is one of the best ways to keep yourself up to date on what's happening and how you can be an effective activist. Currently we only have a few Subchapters and are looking for people to take the initiative to start Subchapters as well as breathe new life into stalled ones. If you think you want to give it a shot then contact the TX, LA, & OK Chapter Coordinator, Josh (MJHDarknite). If there is already a Subchapter coordinator in your area, please contact them to introduce yourself and ask what is currently going on in your Subchapter. 6. Continue educating yourself and others. There are a lot of “moving parts” within the Zeitgeist Movement. To better spread the message of what we’re about, keep educating yourself and others. -Also, there is a Media Project Website currently in the works, and slated to be up and running sometime within February of 2010. This website will help to consolidate a LOT of the media and other references and resources that are already out there. It will be a one stop shop for all things Zeitgeist. Stay Tuned!
