Welcome to the Texas Chapter of the Zeitgeist Movement:
The role of the Texas chapter is to inspire communication and hold member/awareness events in the state, while also posting any news/info that might occur on the site. Initially the Texas Chapter will serve as a center for new members of the Zeitgeist Movement to coordinate with others. The Texas Chapter will serve as a resource center of information and networking for ZM activist. Using information from the two Zeitgeist films and the movement's slide presentations, this site will provide videos, articles, and discussions to elaborate about the tenants of the Zeitgeist Movement for residents of Texas. The Texas Chapter has been established in June of 2009 and is still in its first stages of development. There have been approximately 80,000,000 views of the Zeitgeist films over the internet alone. Yet only 330,000 members have joined the movement at the global site. Most viewers of the Zeitgeist films are supportive of the ideas for a world without sacarcity and corruption, but are unaware of the movement of inspired individuals dedicated to changing the current 'zeitgeist' or the modern perspective that allows the system to continue. The Texas chapter will unite us and inform each other for ideas of activites in neighboring cities. Please join us, we have strength in numbers; communication is the tool for efficient progress. Local News10-11-09 First Austin meeting was held at a private room at Mangia's Pizza. We discussed the idea of a short official document about how to present the Movement and official positions on various topics. 10-10-09 1 hour presentation at the Art Oustide Festival 2009 in Austin, TX by Tyson Eberly & Oskar Gonzalez. The title of the presentation was 'Where are we now?' The format was half speaking and half power point presentation about the motivation behind the Zeitgeist Movement and the emergent & symbiotic aspects of natural law. 09-26-09 The second Dallas-Fort Worth meeting was held at Oskar Gonzalez's house. We discussed ideas about how to present the Zeitgeist Movement to others. 08-27-09 New Chapter Artwork section has been added under Take Action tab. Any creations for flyers can be share under this new section. Just email me and I will post it. 08-23-09 We had our first meet & greet for Dallas, thanks to all who attended. Much was shared and discussed. Dallas meetings will continue monthly so don't worry if you miss one :) We now have 152 subscribers and 69 forum members. 08-10-09 We now have 102 members, excellent progress! Let others know about the chapter site and the newsletters, I will keep them coming as often as I can. We are now planning to have meetings, if you have any ideas or requests post them on the forum. 08-02-09 Many thanks to Webfish for designing the chapter icons.
