What's New in Colorado?
Denver:
Denver's Z-Day Event in March 2011 was a huge success with about 300 people in attendance, amazing speakers, DJs, and bands. We had a great time! Thanks to all who helped and participated.
Denver still hosts two regular meetings every month at Gypsy House Cafe. We average about 30-40 attendees per meeting. For more details, please visit our calendar (by selecting it on the tool bar above). We'd love to see more sub-chapters springing up in the Denver suburbs (and all around Colorado). ). We also have online TeamSpeak meetings on the last Sunday of every month. This is a great opportunity for people who don't have a local sub-chapter to get involved with the state chapter actions and projects. Again, please see the calendar for more details. Some of our hot projects right now are the ZM Garden/Greenhouse Project, the Denver Z-News Team, and Community Outreach via parties, potlucks, picnics, and BBQs. Colorado Springs: After Colorado Springs' screening of Zeitgeist Moving Forward (which brought a crowd of about 35 people), the small but mighty sub-chapter has been going strong with monthly meetings and monthly outreach events. In April they hosted their first monthly movie screening at Thunder and Buttons with a turnout of 20 new people! Upcoming events for this sub-chapter include street-team and activist outreach events as well as continued movie screenings. For more information about upcoming events check the main website calendar (by clicking on "calendar" on the tool bar above). Colorado Springs is looking for help! They need someone to manage their Facebook account. This means helping to create and promote TZM Colorado Springs FB events, posting videos and articles pertaining to the Movement, and creating a welcoming (virtual) environment for people to share information, ideas, and discussion.
